Celebrating Success and Collaboration: drunomics Biannual Team Event 2024
On November 25, 2024, the drunomics team came together for a day packed with activities, presentations, and team spirit. With plenty of laughs and insightful discussions, this event reminded us why we’re more than just colleagues – we’re a team. Here’s a look at the highlights.
Guess Who? – Icebreaker Fun
We kicked off the event with an icebreaker that was equal parts nostalgia and comedy gold. Employees submitted their childhood photos, paired with clever hints, and teams were tasked with guessing who was who.
The result? A room filled with laughter as we tried to match baby smiles, retro outfits, and questionable haircuts to today’s Drupal experts. While some teams brought their A-game (or just got lucky), others... let’s just say their coding skills far outshine their detective abilities. Who knew identifying baby photos could be more challenging than debugging?
If team spirit and laughter are metrics of success, this activity was an amazing start to the day!
The Resource Sharing
The next activity, led by yours truly, was the Resource Sharing game. Teams were assigned different resources and tasked with bargaining, trading, and negotiating to secure what they needed.
Let me tell you, it was a masterclass in persuasion. Creative arguments, passionate pitches – “Trust me”, and even some serious puppy eyes were on display. The result? Not a single resource was exchanged in 25 minutes. Better luck next time, negotiators – though after this round, we’re considering renaming the game to “Resource Staring Contest.”
Next on the agenda was a lively photo session with the talented Simon Jappel, our photographer who’s not just a wizard with the camera but also a motorcycle enthusiast and chess aficionado! Simon captured some truly stunning shots of the drunomics team. Of course, there were also plenty of playful moments, resulting in a collection of photos that perfectly balanced our innovative spirit and sense of humor. Whether it’s headshots or hilarity, Simon had us covered!

ISM: Learning (and Staying) Secure
Jeremy Chinquist led an engaging session on drunomics Information Security User Awareness. Covering the latest information security trends, emerging threats, and practical tips, the training ensured everyone left with sharper skills for protecting company data.
After waking up getting insightful knowledge from this presentation, we discussed the content and some best practices regarding information security.
Leadership Updates:
Another standout moment, the highlight of the day came when we ordered biers drunomics' management took the stage and presented drunomics’ latest updates and project updates by Wolfgang Ziegler, our CTO and Managing Partner, who joined virtually from the U.S. and Oliver Berndt, our COO and Managing Partner. Wolfgang unveiled an exciting future for drunomics, diving into upcoming innovations in Drupal, including Drupal CMS, the Experience Builder, and the game-chaning impact of AI. Oliver delivered a thorough presentation shed light on the exciting advancements being made and offered a glimpse of what’s to come. His insights left a lasting impression, especially on our new team members, thats right, drunomics is geting bigger!
What Makes These Events Special
Team events like this one are at the heart of drunomics. They remind us of the value of collaboration, creativity, and a shared vision. Plus, they give us a chance to show off our (occasionally questionable) guessing skills and debating prowess!
As we look ahead to another year of growth and innovation, we’re grateful for moments like these that strengthen our bonds and bring us closer as a team.
